Sound Image services a select number of local and regional Governmental clients in the California and Arizona markets. Most of our work is done for city and municipal agencies. Typically, we are asked to provide designs and integration for council chambers, court rooms, boardrooms, and conference rooms. Regardless of their size or locale, all our Government customers require elegant, high-quality, easy-to-use AV Systems because their staff and board members expect to be able to walk into any meeting room, plug in, and start their meetings.
The three most common requests we encounter are:
None of these requests are too technically challenging. But, if not handled carefully, each can present operational and/or budgetary challenges for any client.
Analog vs. Digital Video
As the AV industry moves forward through the analog-to-digital video transition, we are often asked to provide connectivity for both signal formats. Building a dual analog/digital signal path is still a common solution, but this approach sometimes adds unnecessary cost and complexity to the project. We can help you make the critical decisions necessary to ensure the right technology is installed for both your current and future needs.
Audio for Multiple Setup Scenarios
Providing good sound in a facility that needs to support many different physical setups and configurations can be tricky to implement in order to meet everyone’s expectations. With speech clarity being the primary goal and focus, here are just of few of the concepts that must be considered and factored into the system design and integration:
These points represent only a small part of our thought processes when planning a new system design. There are many technological approaches and solutions available. No single manufacturer nor technological tool is right for every application. In order to achieve the best, most reliable results, each design solution must be customized to fit all the customer’s configuration and application needs.
Operations and Control
User-friendly operational control is another key component. Most governmental AV Systems are operated by the organization’s admin staff. If available, the staff will typically use a custom Control System to manage the operational adjustments of the AV equipment.
A well-designed Control System is just like a fancy version of the TV remote you might use at home. The main difference is that every feature and button is customized for your AV system, and the control interface is often a touch panel display instead of a button panel.
If you are facing any of the challenges outlined above, we would like to help. Our best results start with a conversation that outlines the needs, challenges and goals for your new systems.
If you would like to talk with one of our staff about your specific project needs, please see the “Contact Us” link in the top right corner of our webpage and reach out to anyone listed under California or Arizona Contracting. They will connect you with one of our sales engineers, estimators, or system designers.
